highly significantP = 2.21 × 10−8
We observed a highly significant difference in Wolbachia density between species at the female (W = 11, P = 2.21 × 10−8), L1 (W = 30, P = 4.07 × 10−7), L2 (t = −9.54, P = 5.19 × 10−11), L3 (W = 18, P = 2.01 × 10−7), and L4 (t = −3.35, P = 0.0017) stages, with Cx. quinquefasciatus consistently showing higher densities than Cx. pipiens molestus .
