North Africa and Middle East experienced increasing trends in air pollutants (NO 2 : +3% and O 3 : +5%) but a decreasing trend in FFCO 2 per capita (−14%), while Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Oceania showed the opposite pattern of decreasing air pollution (PM 2.5 : −20% and O 3 : −6%) and increasing FFCO 2 per capita (+22%).
