Our asymmetric supercapacitor-battery hybrid system (i.e., Zn-ion hybrid capacitor) exhibited an increasing trend in the CO 2 adsorption capacity with a decreasing applied current density (208 mmol CO2 kg −1 at 1 mA g −1 ), surpassing that of the symmetric supercapacitor which showed decreased CO 2 adsorption capacities under slow charging conditions.
