A study reported that in eight patients with severe asthma, serum total, and free IgE treated with omalizumab were not the same in terms of long-term trends (104 weeks), but the majority peaked in serum total IgE after 4 weeks of treatment, and all patients had been on a decreasing trend in free serum IgE after treatment [ 30 ].
