Notably, compared with our findings for the distribution of suitable habitats under current climate conditions, we detected an increasing trend of expansion in the total habitat area suitable for E. nuttallii under future climate scenarios, with small variations in the extent of the distribution of suitable habitats in each class, which typically manifested as a small variation in the marginal zones of suitable habitats ( Figure 4 and Figure 5 ).
