The interesting history gathered from the patient pertaining to receiving 10–20 intra-articular injections of methylprednisolone acetate in both the knees about one month back suddenly became highly significant in the current scenario which clearly directed towards direct intra-articular inoculation of high dose steroids as the most probable cause of Candida arthritis of both knees because steroids are considered as good nutritional sources for the growth of fungi.
