The results of our study confirmed the effectiveness of this regimen, with all patients treated with this regimen surviving, and although some of the results did not differ statistically because of the small number of patients, there was an overall trend toward a lower rate of postoperative complications in the Lavage-Drainage group than in the drainage group.
