A recent glioma international case–control study and a meta-analysis published in 2020 using patients data from Glioma International Case-Control Study (GICC) which included 4,533 glioma cases and 4,171 controls during 2010–2013 supported a roughly 40% hazard reduction rate by daily use of aspirin and a 16% marginally statistically significant prevention effects of aspirin against GBM by the meta-analysis [ 104 ].
