In our study, the Ps and Dm strains presented insignificant changes in melanin content across different NaCl concentrations, whereas the Ex , Pp , Pa , and Aa strains presented an increasing trend in melanin content with increasing NaCl stress, indicating that NaCl could induce melanin production in the Ex , Pp , Pa , and Aa strains.
