The Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis showed a significant association with biological processes such as DNA metabolic processes, DSB break repair, and DNA recombination, and metabolic functions such as catalytic activity and ATP-dependent DNA damage sensing and acting activity, mainly in the MRE11 complex, a multi-subunit nuclease that is composed with RAD50 and Nbs1/Xrs2, and is involved in checkpoint signaling and DNA replication, mainly in nucleus with highly significant FDR values ( Figure 3 B).
