Several other metabolites such as cystathionine, trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline, inosine, alanine, phenylalanine, and methylguanidine also showed highly significant differences with large effect sizes (ε 2 > 0.14), suggesting a marked influence of the experimental conditions on these metabolic pathways.
