At 2–3 months post‐POEM, the incidence of erosive esophagitis was 1/6 (16.7%) in the LES‐preservation group, 5/14 (35.7%) in the 0 cm and 1 cm group, and 5/17 (29.4%) in the 2 cm and 3 cm groups, with a nonsignificant trend toward a lower incidence in the LES‐preserving group.
