Baseline characteristics We found an increasing trend in the prevalence of CircS over time (23.82% in 2009–2010 to 35.35% in 2013–2014) (p for trend < 0.0001), whereas there was a significant decreasing trend in the prevalence of periodontitis (45.60% in 2009–2010 to 33.90% in 2013–2014) (p for trend <0.0001) ( Figure 2 ).
