Discussion The results reveal an increasing trend in congenital syphilis in Minas Gerais, as well as the relationship between groups of municipalities with high PHC coverage and better prenatal indicators, with lower congenital syphilis incidence rates, especially in the health macro-regions in the North and Northeast of the state.
