Moreover, several qualitative and quantitative studies conducted in other cities in Morocco and other countries worldwide have identified physician perception as a factor that can influence generic prescribing.[ 11 , 14 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 ] In our results, GPs’ perception that the quality of generics is high emerged in the multivariate analysis as an important factor influencing their prescription of these drugs (OR = 2.82 [1.08-7.36]), despite the result being at the limit of significance in univariate analysis ( P = 0.059).
