There remains a note of caution amongst the optimism though, with several post hoc analyses of GLP1-RA trials in HFrEF identifying a possible trend towards increased risk of heart failure hospitalizations and arrhythmias 203–205 in patients with EF < 40%, and this needs further interrogation.
