In Korea, alcohol and nicotine consumption have been declining; however, following recent experiences with COVID-19, TUD has increased, and there has also been an increasing trend in AUD among women. 22 29 The most notable finding of this study was that NSSI was linked to a 9-fold increase in the odds of developing an addictive disorder.
