While neither type of abuse alone was related to never or rarely being able to make up their own mind, their combined relationship was highly significant ( table 2 ), with adjusted proportions increasing from 4.8% (neither abuse type) to 8.4% (both physical abuse and verbal abuse; see figure 1 for CIs).
