The results showed that the expression of genes encoding enzymes related to acetylation and deacetylation modifications were drastically altered, with extremely significant changes in sirt1 , ep300a , and hdac7 ( Fig. 4 A ), indicating that acetylation or deacetylation modifications may play an important role in the effects of ZnO NPs.
