In contrast, an increased level of the chemical mixture in cord blood was associated with higher birthweight, showing a positive trend in the crude model (100 g [95% delta method CI:-11.614 to 211.67]), with the association becoming stronger with adjustment for maternal age, ethnicity, maternal education, household income, booking BMI, tobacco exposure, parity and infant sex (model A: 116.5 g [3.1 to 229.9]).
