Long-term elevated precipitation promotes an acid metabolic preference in soil microbial communities in a Tibetan alpine grassland.

Our analysis indicated a marginally significant interaction effect of the precipitation level and warming on methanotrophic bacteria (β = −1.25, P = 0.061), showing that methanotrophic bacteria abundance increased with the precipitation level under ambient temperature, but declined with the precipitation level in warmer soils ( Fig. 2D ; Table S6 ).
