Borderline significance was found for the C-reactive protein, which was tested at the start of the last chemotherapy in only 139 patients (23.1%): it was observed that 27.6% of patients with a C-reactive protein ≥5 received chemotherapy in the last 30 days of life, while 12.2% of patients with a C-reactive protein <5 received therapy (p=0.05).
