In addition, baseline serum corisin levels exhibited an increasing trend in patients with diabetic nephropathy who experienced a greater decline in eGFR over a two-year follow-up period (>4 mL/min/1.73 m2) compared to those with a lesser decline (<4 mL/min/1.73 m2), suggesting a potential role of corisin in the progression of kidney function deterioration in diabetic CKD patients (Supplementary Fig. 3 ).
