In secondary analyses of the small number of participants with snRNAseq data, at least one pericyte nucleus, and measurement of ante-mortem sleep fragmentation ( n = 56), there was a positive trend between sleep fragmentation and the proportion of M-pericyte nuclei that was nevertheless concordant in direction with the results seen in our bulk RNAseq data (estimate = +5.32 × 10 −1 , SE=+4.12 × 10 −1 , P = 0.2; Supplementary Fig. 9A ).
