We also found a weak trend for wing‐clipped females to lay eggs with higher yolk levels of lipid oxidative damage (MDA) that did not reach the statistical significance threshold ( χ 2 = 3.119, p = 0.077, Figure 2b ). 4 Discussion In this study, we showed that the experimental reduction of the body condition of spotless starling females before reproduction (D'Arpa et al. 2022 ) affected the size, weight, and composition of the eggs they laid.
