highly significantp < 0.001
Mixed-effects analyses performed on the juvenile and adult cohorts show that for both BAX and p53 biomarkers, the main effects of Age and Dose were highly significant (p < 0.001 and < 0.0001, respectively), while the interactions of Age x Dose only reached significance for BAX (p < 0.05) ( Fig 4B ). Šidák’s Post Hoc multiple comparisons between mean BAX biomarker measurements in the juvenile and adult cohorts at each Dose did not detect significant differences (potentially due to unequal sample sizes and high variability).
