However, considering all the facts and observations, such as the lower overall PHH rate in the present study compared with the meta-analysis by Murad et al 1 , the highly significant difference between the two groups in term of PHH, and the data from the gastrectomy literature, the authors hypothesize that the omitted omentectomy may play an important role in the onset of PHH.
