As shown in Table 2 , most of the biochemical markers recorded were similar between well-nourished and malnourished groups ( p -values > 0.05), with a slight trend in total cholesterol, the values for which were lower among malnourished (3.33 ± 0.78 mmol/L) compared to well-nourished (3.75 ± 1.32 mmol/L).
