Our main findings were as follows: (I) there was no significant difference in LGE% of myocardium between sexes; (II) males had a higher risk of non-infarct-related LGE, whereas infarct-related LGE showed only a nonsignificant trend; (III) extracellular volume did not differ significantly between sexes; and (IV) there was no significant difference in septal E/e′ between sexes.
