Additional studies are needed to better understand why physical frailty persists long-term after LT and to design effective interventions to combat this highly significant problem. 8 ∣ CONCLUSION Frailty remains common in individuals awaiting lifesaving LT and negatively impacts patient outcomes before and after liver transplantation.
