In an Australian study of workers who built and maintained radio and TV transmitters, compared with unexposed workers from the same geographic regions ( Hollows and Douglas 1984 ), posterior subcapsular opacities were in excess in exposed workers (borderline significant), but nuclear sclerosis prevalence was similar in exposed and unexposed workers.
