Furthermore, despite the comparable biodiversity between the bacterial and fungal communities, algal proliferation led to an increasing trend in the diversity of the former, whereas the opposite phenomenon was observed in the latter ( Fig. 1 ), indicating that more adverse effects were exerted on the fungal community.
