Both parameters showed a decreasing trend, with median β-hydroxybutyrate decreasing from 2.8 mmol/L (range: 1.5–4.6) to 1.2 mmol/L (range: 0.4–2.3), and pH increasing from 7.25 (range: 7.10–7.35) to 7.32 (range: 7.25–7.40) ( Table S1 ).
