Stratified by marital status, a marginally significant association was observed between social isolation and an increased risk of physical dysfunction only in the married group (OR=1.289, 95% CI: 1.035–1.605; P = 0.024), and not in the single group (OR=1.541, 95% CI: 0.924–2.571; P = 0.098).
