Note that the alerts might correlate with each other, so whilst for example a single level C alert might not be significant, a series of such alerts might suggest a wider issue. checkCIF also produces level G alerts, and although these are more often informational in nature these might be important to ensure required metadata are present and to check that common default values have not been included erroneously.
