According to the numerical simulation results, the floor rock stratum under the upper coal seam goaf undergoes pressure relief, and the vertical stress shows a decreasing trend within the range of the upper goaf; the vertical stress remains at a high level within the range of residual coal pillars and the edge of the solid coal.
