In our analysis, we observed a decreasing trend in BUSCO completeness scores as we moved from broader fungal datasets to more taxon-specific sets, highlighting the limitations of existing reference databases in accurately representing Tetracladium due to its uncertain phylogenetic placement and the lack of closely related species in OrthoDB (Supplementary Table 4).
