Muirhead et al., in a cohort of 1,000 patients, demonstrated a decreasing trend in calcium concentrations during the subsequent years (1-4) after KTx, with a corresponding reduction in the risk of hypercalcemia within 1-3 years post-transplant [ 2 ].
