Conclusion While the main adjusted analysis did not show effect modification by wind direction on the relationship between proximity to pig farms and odds of clinical infection with livestock-MRSA, exploratory post-hoc analyses suggested that this may be because there is no effect modification at low distances (50 − 1,250 m), while there may be significant effect modification at intermediate distances (1,250-6,250 m).
