Compared with their diploid counterparts, the autotetraploid cultivars ‘Boguang’ and ‘Hongguang’ showed a significant increase in shoot diameter—from 1.682 mm and 2.047 mm to 2.171 mm and 2.602 mm, respectively, representing increases of 29.1% and 27.1%, both statistically highly significant ( Figure 3 C).
