The results indicated that, under stingy conditions: (1) The positive predictive effect of perspective focus on reciprocal responses in children with ASD was marginally significant (95% CI [− 0.04, 2.89]), whereas the negative predictive effect on reciprocal responses in children with TD was significant (95% CI [− 1.32, − 0.38]).
