The p-value was used to determine the level of significance, where a p-value greater than 0.05 was considered not significant, p < 0.05 indicated significance at the 95% confidence level, p < 0.01 signified high significance at the 99% confidence level, and p < 0.001 was regarded as very highly significant at the 99.9% confidence level.
