The changes in HL of the three vegetables treated with ‘Fengdan’ root extract showed the same trend; the root extract was found to be bio-stimulatory at low concentrations (5–10 g L −1 ), with the exception of spinach, and almost significant inhibitory impacts were recorded at 20–40 g L −1 of ‘Fengdan’ root extract (Figs. 1 and 2 ).

The sentences
The FW and DW of tatsoi, spinach, and bok choy seedlings treated with 5 g L −1 leaf or root extract were significantly higher than the corresponding measures in the control and showed a decreasing trend with increasing concentration (Fig. 3 ).
