In our study, the carbonated water significantly increased the DCI in the upright position (265 [121–674.3] to 434.5 [157.5–772.3], p < 0.001) and showed an increasing trend in the supine position (535 [264.3–1180.5]) to 553.5 [297.8–1218.3]).
