The finding in a previous meta-analysis of ART adherence that stronger effects were more common in trials that required suboptimal adherence as an eligibility criterion [ 69 ] suggests that the efficacy of TRAC in improving medication use might be significant and greater were it focused on participants with the more serious adherence issues.
