Hyaluronic acid demonstrated favorable handling characteristics, was easy to place within the defect, and was well tolerated by all patients, with no reports of adverse tissue reactions, infections, or delayed healing during the study period.[ 1 ] Intergroup comparisons of probing pocket depth and clinical attachment level revealed significantly greater pocket depth reduction and gain in clinical attachment in Group 1 (Hyaluronic acid + membrane) compared to Group 2 (membrane alone), with the differences being statistically highly significant.
