Although our findings do not suggest that hypermobility is strongly associated with overall changes in pain frequency after MBS, they do indicate a possible trend: Participants with hypermobility tended to maintain their lower extremity pain levels postoperatively, whereas pain in these areas decreased in the group without hypermobility.
