A recent study conducted in Italy from 2019–2020 reported a high overall seroprevalence of 91.6%, with an increasing trend observed across age groups: 84.1% in children aged 6–9 years, 89.3% in adolescents aged 15–19 years, 91.7% in adults aged 20–39 years, and 97.0% in individuals over 40 years. 16 Compared to earlier studies (1996–1997, 2003–2004, 2013–2014), seroprevalence in children was higher.
