In the aqueduct-related system, there is a strong increase in Pb-level from the aqueduct to the water tower T1 due to the use of lead pipes in the city water supply system, and a decreasing trend in T1 with time that can be attributed to the gradual encrustation of the pipes by carbonate, reducing the lead pollution level ( 24 ) ( Fig. 5 B ).
