Returning to Table 3 , model 7 reveals a highly significant relationship between the second-order factor of perceived discrimination and chronic health problems: a one standard deviation increase in perceived discrimination increases the propensity of Latinos to have a chronic health condition by 0.143 standard deviations, holding all other variables in Table 1 constant.
